The survey, evaluation and application of key exposure factors for health and ecological risk assessment

Absrtact
Risk assessment is done by compiling and evaluating various parameters regarding environment and receptors. Additionally, complete parameter information can be utilized in national or regional policy planning. Soil and Groundwater Pollution Remediation Act (SGPRA) has clearly stated both human health risk and environmental impact has to be assessed when it comes to remediation goal planning or contaminated site risk assessment. This project is aimed to improve current health risk assessment parameters qualities by establishing contaminated site, receptor exposure, and food chain related parameter database. Food chain risk assessment is conducted for the contaminated site. this project conducts ecological investigation and feeding observation to confirm the suitability of surrogate species in ecological assessment, as well as propose exposure parameters for conducting ecological risk assessment. Finally, this project establishes local biological toxicity data by conducting toxicity tests on invertebrates animal in soil, including the no-observed-effect concentration (NOEC), lowest-observed-effect concentration (LOEC), 10% lethal concentration (LC10), and 50% lethal concentration (LC50). Moreover, parameters and guidelines for conducting biological toxicity test in ecological risk assessment are suggested.
